Just a name — no image, description, or nesting; categories are a single
flat list.
Duplicate names are blocked. Each category is an expandable card showing a
live product count and (expanded) the actual products inside, with a
"Hidden" tag for any that aren't visible on the storefront.
Rename inline (Enter to save). Delete asks for confirmation and
states how many products will become "Uncategorized" — deleting a category
never deletes its products, only unassigns them.
An always-visible "Uncategorized" section lists every product without
a category.
No manual reordering of categories, no per-category image/icon, and no way
to hide a whole category — only individual products can be hidden. To
move a product between categories, edit that product on the Products page.
Not Pro-gated — unlimited categories on every plan.
