How payment methods work

WAStore splits payments into two groups. The difference that matters is whether an order is marked Paid automatically or not.

The most important thing to know

Only Stripe marks an order as paid automatically. When a customer pays by card (or Apple Pay / Google Pay) through your connected Stripe account, Stripe confirms the charge to WAStore via a secure webhook. The order is created already marked Paid — you do nothing.

Everything else is manual. Bank transfer, cash on delivery, a PayPal link, Revolut, Pix, and any other method you type into Settings are information for the customer only. The order is saved like any other; you mark it Paid in Orders once you’ve actually received the money.

You can use both at once. A customer who doesn’t want to pay by card can still pick a manual method (or place the order and arrange payment with you directly).

Manual payment methods

Settings → Payment → Manual — you confirm payment yourself.

Add up to 8 methods: bank transfer, cash on delivery, Revolut, PayPal (paste your paypal.me or similar link), UPI, DuitNow, Pix, Yape, Nequi, Mercado Pago, JazzCash, EasyPaisa, SnapScan, mobile money, a generic payment link, or Other. Optional instructions and, for many types, a QR image.

These are the original, always-free way to get paid on WAStore. They work in every currency, with no payment-processor setup.

PayPal tip: choose type PayPal and enter your PayPal.me (or business) link — same as any other link method. Customers see it in the list; you confirm Paid when the money shows in PayPal.

Stripe (Pro)

Settings → Payment → Automatic — confirmed for you.

Connecting your Stripe account is the only path where WAStore can tell you, with certainty, that a specific order has been paid. Optionally list which methods your Stripe Checkout offers (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, local wallets…) so customers see them under “Pay now via Stripe”.

How payment status works on an order

Paid on an order means the money has arrived. It is set only by the Stripe webhook. For every manual method — including a PayPal link — open the order in your dashboard and mark it Paid yourself once you’ve received the funds.
