Creating a coupon (Pro to create new ones — see Free vs Pro)
Code (required, auto-uppercased letters/numbers, e.g. SAVE20).
Discount type: Percentage (max 100%) or Fixed Amount off.
Maximum uses — optional; blank/0 = unlimited.
Expiry date — optional; blank = never expires.
Active toggle — disable without deleting.
No minimum-order requirement field, no restricting a coupon to specific
products/categories, and no dedicated "free shipping" coupon type — a
coupon is always a straight percentage or fixed amount off the whole order.
Managing coupons
Edit or delete any coupon (delete asks for confirmation).
Each row shows code, status, discount, usage ("used/max," "X left" if
capped), and expiry. Status is automatic: Inactive, Expired, Maxed Out, or
Active.
At checkout (customer side)
Customer expands "Have a coupon?", enters a code, presses Apply; it's
validated live (exists, Active, not expired, not maxed out) with inline
error messages if not. Once applied, the discount shows in the order
summary and can be removed before placing the order. Redeeming increments
the coupon's used-count.
