Minimum order price — an AMOUNT of money (e.g. 20 €), not a number of
orders: a customer whose cart subtotal is below it can't check out
(shipping not counted). Setting a new one is Pro. A Free store that set
one before order rules became Pro keeps it working; a store whose Pro or Pro
trial ended keeps the value saved, but it stops applying at checkout until
the owner upgrades again. Delivery
zones (Pro) can also have their own minimum per zone.
Shipping fee — a fixed fee on every order (0 = free shipping).
Free shipping threshold — appears once a shipping fee is set; waives
it above this subtotal (after coupon discount). Same Pro/grandfathering
rule as minimum order price.
How shipping pricing works (pick one mode) —
Flat fee (every plan): one Shipping fee for every delivery order.
Optional free-shipping threshold (Pro).
Delivery options (Pro): a list of named choices the customer picks
at checkout. When any option exists, it fully replaces the flat
fee and free-shipping threshold above (those fields are ignored until
options are removed). Up to 30 options.
Pickup only / Also offer pickup: see below — pickup never adds
a delivery fee.
Delivery options (Pro) — each option is a name customers see
(area, city, or carrier, e.g. Colissimo, Mondial Relay, J&T) plus how
it is priced:
a fixed fee, or
weight bands ("Price by package weight"), or
"Agree the delivery cost with the customer later" (no fee at
checkout — shown as "to be confirmed", never "Free"; settle on WhatsApp).
Each option can also have optional Free over and Minimum order.
Quick-add presets use the store's country (Settings → General): France /
Belgium / Luxembourg → Colissimo, Chronopost, Mondial Relay, Relais Colis;
similar shortcuts for DE, ES/PT, IT, GB; otherwise Standard / Express /
Local. Free owners can open the editor (badged Pro); adding an option
opens the upgrade prompt, and on Save options are not stored until they
upgrade or start a trial. Options saved on Pro stay saved after a
downgrade, but checkout ignores them and uses the flat fee until they
upgrade again.
Customers who don't pick a listed option can't place a delivery order.
The editor warns and offers "Add 'Other areas' option" (fee agreed
later) so nobody is blocked.
Weight-based shipping (Pro) — two pieces must both be set:
On a delivery option: Price by package weight instead, then add
bands (Up to (kg) + fee), e.g. up to 0.5 kg → 4.90 €, up to 1 kg →
6.90 €, up to 2 kg → 9.90 €.
On each product: Shipping weight (kg) (Add/Edit Product) — weight
of one unit in the parcel. While any product is missing a weight, the
weight-band editor shows an amber "X of Y products have no shipping
weight yet" warning. New products can also get weights via the CSV
weightKg column.
At checkout WAStore adds shipping weight × quantity for every cart line
and picks the first band whose "up to" covers that total.
Example: candle = 0.35 kg, soap = 0.15 kg. Cart = 2 candles + 1 soap →
0.35×2 + 0.15×1 = 0.85 kg → with the bands above, fee = 6.90 €.
If any product in the cart has no shipping weight, or the parcel is
heavier than the heaviest band, that option shows "to be confirmed"
(same WhatsApp settle flow as "agree later") — so set weights on every
product you sell with weight-based options, or add a heavier band / an
"Other" option with agree-later.
Shipping weight ≠ Price per kg. Selling cheese at 14.90 €/kg does not
set parcel weight; you still enter Shipping weight (e.g. 1 if they buy
1 kg packs as quantity 1, or use variants).
Worked setups owners ask for often —
France, several carriers, fixed prices: Quick-add Colissimo /
Chronopost / Mondial Relay, set each fee (e.g. 5.90 / 9.90 / 4.50).
Customer picks the carrier at checkout.
France, Colissimo by weight: one option "Colissimo" with weight bands
matching your usual La Poste table; set Shipping weight on every product.
Local areas + national: "City centre" 2 €, "Suburbs" 4 €, "Other
areas" with agree-later (or a fixed national fee).
Varying weight, don't want tables: one option with "Agree the
delivery cost later" (alone or next to fixed options).
Home delivery is ON by default. Checkout asks for a delivery address
unless "Pickup only" is ticked. A shipping fee is optional (0 = no charge).
Empty fee and no options does not mean delivery is off.
Pickup only — no delivery at all; checkout never asks for an address.
Also offer pickup — adds a free "Pick up" choice at checkout next to
delivery (works with the flat fee or with delivery options).
What WAStore does not do — it does not call Colissimo, Chronopost,
Mondial Relay, DHL, etc. for live quotes, tracking numbers, or shipping
labels. Carrier names on delivery options are just labels + your prices.
For bulky/odd sizes you don't want in a weight table: use agree-later, or
an average flat fee + free-shipping threshold (Pro), or (Free) a flat fee
plus a note in the product description.
Default VAT % — pre-fills new products' VAT field (doesn't apply
automatically). Show VAT on storefront checkbox.
