Category — optional, pick one from your existing categories (a product
belongs to at most one category).
Price per — optional unit: piece (default, not shown), kg, g, 100 g,
l, ml, m, m² or pack. Pro to newly add — see Free vs Pro. Shown after the price everywhere ("15.00 € / kg") and
with quantities in the cart, WhatsApp message, orders and emails ("2 kg").
Customers still order whole quantities (2 = 2 kg, or 2 × 100 g); half
units like 0.5 kg aren't supported.
Selling by weight (e.g. "14.90 € per kg, the customer wants 500 g") —
there's no free-weight entry, but three ways work:
Price per 100 g (Pro): set the unit to "100 g" and the price per
100 g (1.49 €). The customer orders quantity 5 for 500 g; the cart,
WhatsApp message and order all show "5 × 100 g".
Weight variants (every plan): add variants "250 g", "500 g", "1 kg",
each with its own price.
Order notes (every plan): at checkout the customer can tap "Add
special instructions?" and write the exact weight. The note shows on
the order and in the WhatsApp message. Owners can mention this in the
product description.
Digital products (planners, templates, e-books, courses, gift cards…)
— list and sell them like any other product, but WAStore has no
automatic download or file delivery. The order arrives on WhatsApp and
by email; the owner then sends the file or link to the customer
themselves (WhatsApp or email), usually once paid. Tips: write
"digital — sent on WhatsApp after payment" in the description; leave the
shipping fee at 0; if the store sells only digital items, Settings →
Pricing → Pickup only stops checkout asking for a delivery address
(customers then see a free "Pick up" option, so say in the description that
nothing is shipped). Email is optional at checkout, so if the file goes by
email, ask for the address when replying on WhatsApp.
SKU / item number — optional, up to 40 characters, the owner's own
code. Pro to newly add — see Free vs Pro. Shown small on the product page ("Item no."), in the dashboard
product list (searchable), in orders, on the printed order and in CSV
exports. CSV import reads sku and unit columns too (on Pro).
On Free both fields show a Pro badge and open the upgrade prompt; a product
that already has a unit or SKU keeps it (still editable) after a downgrade.
Shipping weight (kg) — optional parcel weight for one unit of this
product (every plan). Used only when a delivery option is priced by package
weight (Settings → Pricing). It is not the same as Price per kg
(that is how the product is sold). Example: a candle sold as "piece" with
shipping weight 0.35 means each candle adds 350 g to the parcel. Leave
blank if you only use fixed shipping fees. Duplicating a product copies
it; CSV import/export carries it in a weightKg column.
Price (required) and Currency — chosen per product from the full
supported currency list, defaults to the store's currency.
Previous price ("was" price) — optional strikethrough price to show a
discount. Pro to newly add — see Free vs Pro.
VAT % — optional (0–100); shows customers the exact VAT amount included
in the price. Pre-filled from the store's default VAT rate for new products
only.
Stock — "Unlimited" (default) or "Limited quantity" with a number.
The number goes down automatically when a customer places an order (per
variant when variants have their own stock). Marking an order completed,
paid or cancelled doesn't change stock — restock by editing the number.
Deleting an order that had stock deducted asks for confirmation and puts
those quantities back in stock.
Pro to newly add (product or variant stock) — on Free "Limited quantity"
shows a Pro badge and opens the upgrade prompt; a product that already
tracks stock keeps it editable. Unlimited stock works on every plan.
When out of stock — auto-hide the product, or keep it visible with an
out-of-stock notice.
Images — up to 4 per product, JPG/PNG/WEBP, 3MB max each; upload,
drag-and-drop, or paste an image URL. First image becomes "Main"
automatically.
Variants (e.g. Small/Medium/Large, or shoe sizes) — the "Product
Variants" section of the Add/Edit Product form, below pricing and stock,
with a "+ Add Variant" button. Add ONE variant per option: for sizes
S, M, L, XL, XXL add five variants named "S", "M", "L", "XL", "XXL" (there is
no single "Size" field that takes a list). If the section isn't visible on
a store's first 3 products, tap "+ Add more details (optional)" at the
bottom of the form to reveal it. Any number of variants, each with its own
name (required), price, VAT %, description, stock, and image (all
optional, falling back to the product's own values if left blank). If any
variant gets a stock number, the product's own stock field locks — stock is
then tracked per variant.
Badge — an optional label overlaid on the image: New, Sale, Best
Seller, Limited, Trending, Hot, or Custom (up to 20 characters); 8 colors,
4 corner positions, live preview while choosing. Pro to newly add — on
Free "+ Add Badge" opens the upgrade prompt; a product that already has a
badge keeps it editable (and can remove it).
Visibility — a checkbox to show/hide the product on the storefront
without deleting it.
Guided first-3-products flow — until a store has 3 products, "Add
Product" starts slim (Name, Price, Image only) with a "+ Add more details"
toggle to reveal the rest; after saving, a progress screen ("2 of 3
products") offers one-tap "add another" or "duplicate this one."
