Your free WhatsApp store in Australia, paid by PayID and card, with no commission
One link with your catalog and a cart, and complete orders in your WhatsApp. Customers pay the way they already do. Free, with no commission on sales.
Get paid with what your customers already use
WAStore doesn’t process payments or take a percentage. You add your methods in Settings → Payment, and customers see them when they order.
PayID
Choose the “PayID” type and enter your PayID (phone, email or ABN): customers pay instantly from their banking app.
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay (Stripe)
On Pro you connect your own Stripe account: customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the order is marked paid automatically.
Bank transfer
Add “Bank transfer” with your account name, BSB and account number; customers copy it at checkout and send you the receipt on WhatsApp.
Cash on pickup
Offer free pickup at checkout and take cash or a transfer when the customer collects.
How it works

Selling on WhatsApp in Australia
In Australia small businesses (cake and cookie makers, florists, candle and craft sellers, boutiques) take orders on Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. WAStore gives you a shop with prices in dollars and a cart, and customers pay instantly by PayID or by card on Pro.
Set a flat postage price, local delivery zones by postcode, or click and collect.
Shops in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, and across the country.
Delivery, registration and payments in Australia
Delivery and couriers
Australia Post (Parcel Post and Express Post) covers the country, with Sendle, CouriersPlease and Aramex as alternatives that are often cheaper for small businesses. For food and flowers, local delivery or click and collect is usual.
Registration and tax
You apply for an ABN for free through the Australian Business Register, and register a business name with ASIC if you don’t trade under your own name. GST registration is required once turnover reaches $75,000 a year. Home food businesses notify or register with their local council.
How customers pay
PayID (via Osko) makes bank transfers instant using a phone number, email or ABN, so it is the easiest way for customers to pay small sellers. Cards and Apple Pay come through your own Stripe account on Pro, and cash on pickup still works locally.
What it costs
- Free forever: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and 0% commission.
- Pro: $7.90 a month (or $4.99 a month billed yearly) for your own domain, coupons, sale prices, delivery zones, analytics and more.
- Try Pro free for 7 days, no card needed.
WAStore vs other options in Australia
Most WhatsApp store tools no longer take a commission. What differs is how many products you get for free, whether orders are capped, and whether customers see your local payment methods (PayID and card) when they order.

| WAStore | 50 products, forever | Unlimited | 0% | Pro: $7.90/month (up to 200 products) |

| WhatsApp Business catalog | Free, inside the app | In the chat only | 0% | — (no cart or web store) |
Taken from each platform’s website in October 2026 (Shopify prices are US list prices). Plans change often, so check them before you decide.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an ABN to sell online?
If you are running a business, yes. It is free through the Australian Business Register, and you need a business name registration with ASIC only if you trade under a name other than your own.
Do I have to charge GST?
Only once your turnover reaches $75,000 a year. Below that you can choose to register, but most small sellers don’t.
Can I charge a different delivery fee in your local area and for the rest of Australia?
Yes, on Pro: create one delivery zone in your local area and another for the rest of Australia, each with its own fee (or “to be confirmed”). The free plan has one flat delivery fee and free pickup.
Is WAStore free in Australia?
Yes. The free plan doesn’t expire: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and no commission on sales. Pro is optional.
Can I get paid by PayID and card?
Yes. You add your payment methods in Settings → Payment and customers see them when they order. The money goes straight to you; WAStore never touches payments.
Does WAStore take a commission?
No, not on the free plan and not on Pro. Everything your customer pays is yours.
Do I need WhatsApp Business?
No. It works with regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business, and neither you nor your customers install anything.
Can I accept card payments?
Yes, on Pro: you connect your own Stripe account and customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The money goes to your account, and the order is marked paid automatically.
