Real shops in Bangladesh built with WAStore

Open one to see what a catalog with a cart looks like. They are independent shops: WAStore doesn’t sell their products.

Get paid with what your customers already use

WAStore doesn’t process payments or take a percentage. You add your methods in Settings → Payment, and customers see them when they order.

  • bKash

Choose the “bKash” type, enter your number (personal or merchant) and upload your QR if you have one.

  • Nagad, Rocket

Add a “Mobile Money” method named Nagad or Rocket with your number.

  • Cash on delivery

Turn on “Cash on delivery”: nothing to set up, and the customer pays when the order arrives.

  • Bank transfer

Add “Bank transfer” with your bank, branch, account number and account name; customers copy it at checkout and send you the receipt on WhatsApp.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create your store

Enter a name, your WhatsApp number and your currency (BDT). Add products with a photo and price, or import them from a CSV or Google Sheet.

  2. 2

    Add how you get paid

Add bKash, Nagad and cash on delivery, plus any other method you use. They show at checkout with your details and, if you like, your QR code.

  3. 3

    Share the link

Put it in your WhatsApp status, Instagram bio or TikTok. Every order lands in your dashboard and in your WhatsApp, ready to fulfil.

Selling on WhatsApp in Bangladesh

F-commerce in Bangladesh runs on Facebook pages, WhatsApp and bKash. WAStore gives your page a real catalog with prices in taka and a cart, so customers send one complete order (name, phone, address and items) instead of “inbox price” comments.

Many sellers ask for the delivery charge in advance by bKash for orders outside Dhaka and collect the rest on delivery. You can write exactly that in your payment instructions, and set one delivery fee inside Dhaka and another outside.

Shops in Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet and Khulna, and across the country.

Delivery, registration and payments in Bangladesh

Delivery and couriers

Most F-commerce sellers use Pathao Courier, Steadfast, RedX, Paperfly or eCourier, which collect cash on delivery and pay it back to you. Typical charges are around Tk 60–80 inside Dhaka and Tk 110–150 outside Dhaka for a small parcel, with a COD charge of about 1%. Sundarban Courier and SA Paribahan are used for district deliveries where the customer collects from the branch.

Registration and tax

A trade licence from your city corporation or union parishad is the usual first step, along with a TIN (e-TIN) from the National Board of Revenue. Facebook and online sellers can also get a DBID (Digital Business Identity) from the Ministry of Commerce, which builds trust with buyers. VAT registration applies as turnover grows.

How customers pay

bKash is used for almost everything, followed by Nagad and Rocket. Cash on delivery is still common for first orders, often with the delivery charge paid in advance by bKash, especially outside Dhaka. Bank transfers are used for bigger orders.

What it costs

  • Free forever: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and 0% commission.

WAStore vs other options in Bangladesh

Most WhatsApp store tools no longer take a commission. What differs is how many products you get for free, whether orders are capped, and whether customers see your local payment methods (bKash, Nagad and cash on delivery) when they order.

Frequently asked questions

Can I ask for an advance on cash-on-delivery orders?

Yes. Add both bKash and Cash on delivery, and write in the instructions that an advance (for example the delivery charge) is needed before you ship. Customers see it at checkout.

Can I charge a different delivery fee inside Dhaka and outside Dhaka?

Yes, on Pro: create one delivery zone inside Dhaka and another outside Dhaka, each with its own fee (or “to be confirmed”). The free plan has one flat delivery fee and free pickup.

Should I get a DBID for my online shop?

It isn’t needed to use WAStore, but a DBID from the Ministry of Commerce shows buyers you are a registered online business, and some payment providers ask for it.

Is WAStore free in Bangladesh?

Yes. The free plan doesn’t expire: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and no commission on sales. Pro is optional.

Can I get paid by bKash, Nagad and cash on delivery?

Yes. You add your payment methods in Settings → Payment and customers see them when they order. The money goes straight to you; WAStore never touches payments.

Does WAStore take a commission?

No, not on the free plan and not on Pro. Everything your customer pays is yours.

Do I need WhatsApp Business?

No. It works with regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business, and neither you nor your customers install anything.

Can I accept card payments?

Stripe doesn’t open accounts for sellers in Bangladesh yet, so built-in card checkout isn’t available. You can add a payment link from a local gateway as a “Payment link” method, and customers pay by card there.
