Get paid with what your customers already use

WAStore doesn’t process payments or take a percentage. You add your methods in Settings → Payment, and customers see them when they order.

  • Bank transfer (GTBank, Access, Opay, Moniepoint…)

Add “Bank transfer” with your bank, account number and account name; customers copy it at checkout and send you the receipt on WhatsApp.

  • Pay on delivery

Turn on “Cash on delivery”; add instructions such as “Lagos only” or “transfer or POS on delivery”.

  • Paystack or Flutterwave link

Paste a Paystack or Flutterwave payment link as a “Payment link” method for customers who want to pay by card.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create your store

Enter a name, your WhatsApp number and your currency (NGN). Add products with a photo and price, or import them from a CSV or Google Sheet.

  2. 2

    Add how you get paid

Add bank transfer and pay on delivery, plus any other method you use. They show at checkout with your details and, if you like, your QR code.

  3. 3

    Share the link

Put it in your WhatsApp status, Instagram bio or TikTok. Every order lands in your dashboard and in your WhatsApp, ready to fulfil.

Selling on WhatsApp in Nigeria

In Nigeria “send your account details” is how most WhatsApp sales close. WAStore keeps the transfer and fixes the rest: customers browse a catalog with prices in naira, fill a cart and send you one complete order with their address, so you’re not answering “how much?” and “is it available?” all day.

Fashion, hair and wigs, perfumes, skincare, small chops and cakes, gadgets: share one link in your WhatsApp status, Instagram bio and TikTok, and see every order in your dashboard.

Delivery, registration and payments in Nigeria

Delivery and couriers

Within Lagos, Abuja or Port Harcourt most sellers use dispatch riders or logistics companies like GIG Logistics, usually around ₦2,000–4,500 depending on distance. Interstate parcels go through GIG Logistics, other couriers or a waybill with a transport company at the park, typically ₦3,000–7,000. Pay on delivery is usually limited to your own city.

Registration and tax

A business name is registered online with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), and a business account in that name helps customers trust your transfers. You get a Tax ID through the tax authority, and small businesses under the turnover threshold are exempt from company income tax and VAT. Check the current thresholds with an accountant.

How customers pay

Bank transfer is how most WhatsApp orders are paid, including to Opay, Moniepoint, PalmPay and Kuda accounts. Pay on delivery (cash, transfer or POS) is common in your own city. Card payments come through Paystack or Flutterwave payment links.

What it costs

  • Free forever: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and 0% commission.
  • Pro: $7.90 a month (or $4.99 a month billed yearly) for your own domain, coupons, sale prices, delivery zones, analytics and more.
  • Try Pro free for 7 days, no card needed.

WAStore vs other options in Nigeria

Most WhatsApp store tools no longer take a commission. What differs is how many products you get for free, whether orders are capped, and whether customers see your local payment methods (bank transfer and pay on delivery) when they order.

Frequently asked questions

Can customers pay into my Opay or Moniepoint account?

Yes. Add a Bank transfer method with the bank name (Opay, Moniepoint, PalmPay…), your account number and account name. Customers copy it at checkout.

Can I charge a different delivery fee in Lagos and for interstate orders?

Yes, on Pro: create one delivery zone in Lagos and another for interstate orders, each with its own fee (or “to be confirmed”). The free plan has one flat delivery fee and free pickup.

Do I need CAC registration to sell on WhatsApp?

Not to start, but a CAC business name and a business account in that name make customers more comfortable paying before delivery.

Can I accept card payments with Paystack?

Yes. Create a Paystack payment page and add its link as a “Payment link” method. Customers pay by card there, and you mark the order paid.

Is WAStore free in Nigeria?

Yes. The free plan doesn’t expire: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and no commission on sales. Pro is optional.

Can I get paid by bank transfer and pay on delivery?

Yes. You add your payment methods in Settings → Payment and customers see them when they order. The money goes straight to you; WAStore never touches payments.

Does WAStore take a commission?

No, not on the free plan and not on Pro. Everything your customer pays is yours.

Do I need WhatsApp Business?

No. It works with regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business, and neither you nor your customers install anything.

Can I accept card payments?

Stripe doesn’t open accounts for sellers in Nigeria yet, so built-in card checkout isn’t available. You can add a payment link from a local gateway as a “Payment link” method, and customers pay by card there.
