Real shops in Malaysia built with WAStore
Open one to see what a catalog with a cart looks like. They are independent shops: WAStore doesn’t sell their products.
Get paid with what your customers already use
WAStore doesn’t process payments or take a percentage. You add your methods in Settings → Payment, and customers see them when they order.
DuitNow QR
Choose the “DuitNow” type and upload your DuitNow QR: customers scan it from any Malaysian banking app or e-wallet at checkout.
Online transfer (Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank…)
Add “Bank transfer” with your bank, account number and account name, or your DuitNow ID; customers copy it at checkout and send you the receipt on WhatsApp.
Touch ’n Go eWallet, Boost, GrabPay
They all pay DuitNow QR, so one QR covers them. You can also add a method named after the wallet with your phone number.
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay (Stripe)
On Pro you connect your own Stripe account: customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the order is marked paid automatically.
Cash on delivery or pickup
Turn on “Cash on delivery”: nothing to set up, and the customer pays when the order arrives.
How it works
- 1
Create your store
Enter a name, your WhatsApp number and your currency (MYR). Add products with a photo and price, or import them from a CSV or Google Sheet.
- 2
Add how you get paid
Add DuitNow QR and online transfer, plus any other method you use. They show at checkout with your details and, if you like, your QR code.
- 3
Share the link
Put it in your WhatsApp status, Instagram bio or TikTok. Every order lands in your dashboard and in your WhatsApp, ready to fulfil.
Selling on WhatsApp in Malaysia
A lot of selling in Malaysia still runs on “PM for price” and screenshots of bank slips. WAStore turns that into a proper catalog with prices in ringgit and a cart: the customer sends one complete order to your WhatsApp, pays by DuitNow QR and you mark it paid.
It suits the way Malaysians sell: kuih and kek orders before Raya, tudung and baju kurung drops, frozen food, skincare and pre-loved items. Share the same link in your WhatsApp status, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook groups.

Delivery, registration and payments in Malaysia
Delivery and couriers
J&T Express, Pos Laju, Ninja Van, DHL eCommerce and SPX Express cover the whole country, and many sellers book through aggregators like EasyParcel for cheaper rates. A 1 kg parcel within Peninsular Malaysia typically costs around RM6–10; Sabah and Sarawak cost noticeably more. For same-day delivery in the Klang Valley, Lalamove and Grab Express are common, and many home businesses offer self-pickup or meet-ups.
Registration and tax
Selling regularly means registering with SSM. A sole proprietorship is done online through SSM’s ezBiz portal for a small yearly fee (cheaper under your own name than a trade name). Income goes into your yearly LHDN e-Filing. E-invoicing is being phased in, with small businesses under the turnover threshold exempt, and home food sellers should hold a typhoid jab and food handling course certificate.
How customers pay
DuitNow QR works with every Malaysian bank app and e-wallet, so one QR covers Maybank, CIMB, Touch ’n Go eWallet, Boost and GrabPay. Online transfers (to an account number or DuitNow ID) are also normal, usually with a screenshot of the receipt. Cards matter more for gifts and bigger orders, and cash on delivery is used for local deliveries.
What it costs
- Free forever: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and 0% commission.
- Pro: $7.90 a month (or $4.99 a month billed yearly) for your own domain, coupons, sale prices, delivery zones, analytics and more.
- Try Pro free for 7 days, no card needed.
WAStore vs other options in Malaysia
Most WhatsApp store tools no longer take a commission. What differs is how many products you get for free, whether orders are capped, and whether customers see your local payment methods (DuitNow QR and online transfer) when they order.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| WAStore | 50 products, forever | Unlimited | 0% | Pro: $7.90/month (up to 200 products) |

Frequently asked questions
Do I need SSM registration to sell online?
To sell regularly, yes: a sole proprietorship through SSM’s ezBiz is quick and inexpensive. WAStore works the same before and after you register.
Can I charge a different delivery fee for Peninsular Malaysia and for Sabah and Sarawak?
Yes, on Pro: create one delivery zone for Peninsular Malaysia and another for Sabah and Sarawak, each with its own fee (or “to be confirmed”). The free plan has one flat delivery fee and free pickup.
Can I sell on TikTok and Instagram with the same link?
Yes. Put your store link in your TikTok and Instagram bio, your WhatsApp status and Facebook groups. Every order comes to your WhatsApp and your dashboard, wherever the customer found you.
Can I show my DuitNow QR at checkout?
Yes. Add a DuitNow method and upload your QR image. Customers see it at checkout, tap to enlarge it and scan it from their bank app or e-wallet.
Is WAStore free in Malaysia?
Yes. The free plan doesn’t expire: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and no commission on sales. Pro is optional.
Can I get paid by DuitNow QR and online transfer?
Yes. You add your payment methods in Settings → Payment and customers see them when they order. The money goes straight to you; WAStore never touches payments.
Does WAStore take a commission?
No, not on the free plan and not on Pro. Everything your customer pays is yours.
Do I need WhatsApp Business?
No. It works with regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business, and neither you nor your customers install anything.
Can I accept card payments?
Yes, on Pro: you connect your own Stripe account and customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The money goes to your account, and the order is marked paid automatically.
