Real shops in the UK built with WAStore
Open one to see what a catalog with a cart looks like. They are independent shops: WAStore doesn’t sell their products.
Get paid with what your customers already use
WAStore doesn’t process payments or take a percentage. You add your methods in Settings → Payment, and customers see them when they order.
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay (Stripe)
On Pro you connect your own Stripe account: customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the order is marked paid automatically.
Bank transfer (Faster Payments)
Add “Bank transfer” with your name, sort code and account number; customers copy it at checkout and send you the receipt on WhatsApp.
PayPal
Add your paypal.me link.
Cash on collection
Offer free pickup at checkout and take cash or a transfer when the customer collects.
How it works
- 1
Create your store
Enter a name, your WhatsApp number and your currency (GBP). Add products with a photo and price, or import them from a CSV or Google Sheet.
- 2
Add how you get paid
Add card and bank transfer, plus any other method you use. They show at checkout with your details and, if you like, your QR code.
- 3
Share the link
Put it in your WhatsApp status, Instagram bio or TikTok. Every order lands in your dashboard and in your WhatsApp, ready to fulfil.
Selling on WhatsApp in the UK
In the UK plenty of small businesses (cake makers, candle and craft sellers, boutiques, caterers and resellers) take orders on Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. WAStore gives you a shop with prices in pounds, a cart and complete orders, with no commission and no monthly fee to start.
Customers pay by bank transfer, which lands instantly, or by card on Pro through your own Stripe account. Set a flat postage price, delivery zones by postcode, or local collection.
Shops in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow, and across the country.
Delivery, registration and payments in the UK
Delivery and couriers
Royal Mail (Tracked 48 and Special Delivery), Evri, Yodel, DPD and InPost lockers cover the UK, with small parcels from around £3–5 with Evri or InPost. Many cake makers and local sellers deliver themselves within a few miles or offer collection.
Registration and tax
Once your trading income passes the £1,000 trading allowance in a tax year, you register as self-employed with HMRC and file a Self Assessment. VAT registration is only required once taxable turnover passes £90,000. Food businesses, including home bakers, register with their local council at least 28 days before trading.
How customers pay
Bank transfer is common and lands instantly with Faster Payments. Cards and Apple Pay are expected by many customers, so on Pro you take them through your own Stripe account. PayPal and cash on collection fill the gaps.
What it costs
- Free forever: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and 0% commission.
- Pro: $7.90 a month (or $4.99 a month billed yearly) for your own domain, coupons, sale prices, delivery zones, analytics and more.
- Try Pro free for 7 days, no card needed.
WAStore vs other options in the UK
Most WhatsApp store tools no longer take a commission. What differs is how many products you get for free, whether orders are capped, and whether customers see your local payment methods (card and bank transfer) when they order.

| WAStore | 50 products, forever | Unlimited | 0% | Pro: $7.90/month (up to 200 products) |

Taken from each platform’s website in October 2026 (Shopify prices are US list prices). Plans change often, so check them before you decide.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to register with HMRC to sell online?
Once your trading income passes £1,000 in a tax year, yes: register as self-employed and file a Self Assessment. Below that, the trading allowance usually covers you.
Can I sell homemade cakes from my WhatsApp store?
Yes, once you register as a food business with your local council (it’s free) and follow food hygiene rules. Most councils will then do a hygiene inspection and give you a rating.
Can I charge a different delivery fee for local postcodes and for the rest of the UK?
Yes, on Pro: create one delivery zone for local postcodes and another for the rest of the UK, each with its own fee (or “to be confirmed”). The free plan has one flat delivery fee and free pickup.
Is WAStore free in the UK?
Yes. The free plan doesn’t expire: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and no commission on sales. Pro is optional.
Can I get paid by card and bank transfer?
Yes. You add your payment methods in Settings → Payment and customers see them when they order. The money goes straight to you; WAStore never touches payments.
Does WAStore take a commission?
No, not on the free plan and not on Pro. Everything your customer pays is yours.
Do I need WhatsApp Business?
No. It works with regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business, and neither you nor your customers install anything.
Can I accept card payments?
Yes, on Pro: you connect your own Stripe account and customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The money goes to your account, and the order is marked paid automatically.
