Choose the “Interac e-Transfer” type and enter the email (or phone) you receive e-Transfers on.

  • Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay (Stripe)

On Pro you connect your own Stripe account: customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the order is marked paid automatically.

  • PayPal

    Add your paypal.me link.

  • Cash on pickup

Offer free pickup at checkout and take cash or a transfer when the customer collects.

How it works

Put it in your WhatsApp status, Instagram bio or TikTok. Every order lands in your dashboard and in your WhatsApp, ready to fulfil.

Selling on WhatsApp in Canada

In Canada small sellers take orders on Instagram, Facebook Marketplace and WhatsApp, and get paid by e-Transfer. WAStore gives you a shop with prices in dollars and a cart, so orders arrive complete and customers see your e-Transfer email at checkout.

Set a local delivery fee, a shipping rate for the rest of Canada, or porch pickup. Bakers, meal-prep and catering, boutiques and craft sellers all use it.

Shops in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary, and across the country.

Delivery, registration and payments in Canada

Delivery and couriers

Canada Post is the usual choice for small parcels, with Purolator, UPS and Chit Chats (in Ontario and BC) as alternatives. Shipping across the country is expensive, so many sellers focus on local delivery and porch pickup in their city.

Registration and tax

You can sell as a sole proprietor; registering a business name is done with your province if you don’t use your own name. You must register for GST/HST once your sales pass $30,000 over four consecutive quarters (the small supplier threshold). Food sellers follow provincial and municipal rules for home-based food businesses.

How customers pay

Interac e-Transfer is how most Canadians pay small sellers, ideally with autodeposit turned on. Cards and Apple Pay come through your own Stripe account on Pro, and cash on pickup is still common.

What it costs

  • Free forever: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and 0% commission.
  • Pro: $7.90 a month (or $4.99 a month billed yearly) for your own domain, coupons, sale prices, delivery zones, analytics and more.
  • Try Pro free for 7 days, no card needed.

WAStore vs other options in Canada

Most WhatsApp store tools no longer take a commission. What differs is how many products you get for free, whether orders are capped, and whether customers see your local payment methods (Interac e-Transfer and card) when they order.

Frequently asked questions

Should I turn on Interac autodeposit?

Yes, if your bank offers it: payments land straight in your account without the customer needing a security question and answer.

Do I need a GST/HST number?

Only once your sales pass $30,000 over four consecutive quarters. Below that you are a small supplier and can choose whether to register.

Can I charge a different delivery fee in your city and for the rest of Canada?

Yes, on Pro: create one delivery zone in your city and another for the rest of Canada, each with its own fee (or “to be confirmed”). The free plan has one flat delivery fee and free pickup.

Is WAStore free in Canada?

Yes. The free plan doesn’t expire: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and no commission on sales. Pro is optional.

Can I get paid by Interac e-Transfer and card?

Yes. You add your payment methods in Settings → Payment and customers see them when they order. The money goes straight to you; WAStore never touches payments.

Does WAStore take a commission?

No, not on the free plan and not on Pro. Everything your customer pays is yours.

Do I need WhatsApp Business?

No. It works with regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business, and neither you nor your customers install anything.

Can I accept card payments?

Yes, on Pro: you connect your own Stripe account and customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The money goes to your account, and the order is marked paid automatically.
