Real shops in the US built with WAStore

Open one to see what a catalog with a cart looks like. They are independent shops: WAStore doesn’t sell their products.

Get paid with what your customers already use

WAStore doesn’t process payments or take a percentage. You add your methods in Settings → Payment, and customers see them when they order.

  • Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay (Stripe)

On Pro you connect your own Stripe account: customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the order is marked paid automatically.

  • Zelle

Choose the “Zelle” type and enter the email or phone number your Zelle is enrolled with.

  • Venmo, Cash App

Choose the “Venmo” or “Cash App” type and enter your @username or $cashtag; you can upload your QR too.

  • PayPal

    Add your paypal.me link.

  • Cash on pickup

Offer free pickup at checkout and take cash or a transfer when the customer collects.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create your store

Enter a name, your WhatsApp number and your currency (USD). Add products with a photo and price, or import them from a CSV or Google Sheet.

  2. 2

    Add how you get paid

Add card, Zelle and Cash App, plus any other method you use. They show at checkout with your details and, if you like, your QR code.

  3. 3

    Share the link

Put it in your WhatsApp status, Instagram bio or TikTok. Every order lands in your dashboard and in your WhatsApp, ready to fulfil.

Selling on WhatsApp in the US

In the US, WhatsApp is how many communities already shop: Latino, Indian, Nigerian, Haitian, Brazilian and Caribbean customers order from sellers they know by message. WAStore gives you a store with a cart and prices in dollars, so orders arrive complete instead of in a long chat.

Home bakers, caterers, boutiques, beauty sellers and resellers use it with Zelle, Venmo or Cash App, and on Pro they take cards through their own Stripe account with no WAStore commission. Selling in Spanish? See the Spanish page for the US.

Shops in New York, Los Angeles, Houston and Miami, and across the country.

Delivery, registration and payments in the US

Delivery and couriers

USPS Ground Advantage and Priority Mail are the usual choices for small packages, with UPS and FedEx for heavier ones; discounted labels through Pirate Ship or similar tools save a lot. Many WhatsApp sellers deliver locally themselves or offer porch pickup, especially for food and cakes.

Registration and tax

You can sell as a sole proprietor under your own name; a DBA lets you use a business name, and an LLC is optional. Most states require a sales tax permit and collecting sales tax on taxable sales. Home food sellers work under their state’s cottage food law, which sets what you can sell and where.

How customers pay

Zelle, Venmo and Cash App are how many customers pay friends and local sellers, and PayPal is still common. Cards and Apple Pay matter for new customers, so on Pro you take them through your own Stripe account, with only Stripe’s fees and no WAStore commission.

What it costs

  • Free forever: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and 0% commission.
  • Pro: $7.90 a month (or $4.99 a month billed yearly) for your own domain, coupons, sale prices, delivery zones, analytics and more.
  • Try Pro free for 7 days, no card needed.

WAStore vs other options in the US

Most WhatsApp store tools no longer take a commission. What differs is how many products you get for free, whether orders are capped, and whether customers see your local payment methods (card, Zelle and Cash App) when they order.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to collect sales tax?

In most states, yes, on taxable sales, and you need a sales tax permit. Rules differ by state and product (food is often exempt or taxed differently), so check your state’s revenue department.

Can I sell home-baked food from my WhatsApp store?

Usually, under your state’s cottage food law, which lists the allowed foods and whether you can ship or only deliver in person. WAStore works the same either way.

Can customers pay with Venmo or Cash App?

Yes. Add Venmo or Cash App as a payment method with your @username or $cashtag and, if you like, your QR code. Customers see it at checkout.

Can I offer local pickup?

Yes. Turn on pickup and customers choose it at checkout at no charge, then you agree the time on WhatsApp.

Is WAStore free in the US?

Yes. The free plan doesn’t expire: up to 50 products, unlimited orders and no commission on sales. Pro is optional.

Can I get paid by card, Zelle and Cash App?

Yes. You add your payment methods in Settings → Payment and customers see them when they order. The money goes straight to you; WAStore never touches payments.

Does WAStore take a commission?

No, not on the free plan and not on Pro. Everything your customer pays is yours.

Do I need WhatsApp Business?

No. It works with regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business, and neither you nor your customers install anything.

Can I accept card payments?

Yes, on Pro: you connect your own Stripe account and customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The money goes to your account, and the order is marked paid automatically.
